Kenneth Play - Customer Experience Case Study



About Kenneth Play


Kenneth Play was named the World’s Greatest Sex Hacker by GQ. His teaching has been described as a mashup of Bruce Lee’s mixed martial arts approach and Tim Ferriss’s 80/20 rule. He has conducted rigorous research on the nature of sexuality for both men and women, and has held workshops for thousands of people helping them understand their bodies and their partners. But while his press and media presence were impressive, his brand kit left a lot to be desired.


The Challenge


Our mission was to create and implement branding for Kenneth that spoke directly to his customers - both men and women who wanted to become more intimate with life.





Clarafy's Role


We created the Product Design  -  User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) . Our rigorous customer discovery process was key to finding the interests and subtleties of Kenneth's clients. We also rebranded Kenneth to express a more inviting, less intimidating feel that appealed to both men and women.

Research

In order to conduct our research we talked to several men and women that have attended or were planning to attend Kenneth's workshops. We identified areas of fear around the sensitive nature of Kenneth's content, and areas of accessibility for the site. We then began building on the core concepts of the brand.


Concept


We developed our concept based upon the target avatar's visual language, and then for good measure we tested it with them!
